Essential Car Accessories

We spend lots of time in our cars daily during our work commutes and running daily errands. As the traffic conditions continually worsen, it is important to make these periods comfortable.
Below are some essentials for cars;

Blind Spot Mirrors
Most OEM mirrors have blind spots. Blindspot mirrors are very affordable ways to see view your blind spots without turning your head and taking your eyes off the road in front of you.
New car models, however, offer blindspot monitoring systems for this purpose.



USB Charger
Smartphones have become essential to our daily lives. It is important to keep these devices juiced up. It is important to get properly shielded USB chargers that hook up to the 12v socket, supply steady fast charging current and do not cause interference with car audio systems. Oraimo makes good car chargers, though pricy.
Tyre pressure gauge
The best time to measure tyre pressures is in the mornings before the vehicle is driven. This gives you the "cold pressure reading". It is important to check this regularly.


Portable Tyre Inflator
Ever woke up on a busy morning to a flat tyre? A tire inflator plugs to your 12V cigarette lighter socket and helps with some air before getting a proper tyre repair done.


Jump (Booster) Cable
A case of forgotten headlights, faulty alternator, or an aging battery can ruin a driver's morning. The jump cable on hand could help you get assistance from a friendly road user nearby.
It is important to make sure the cables have proper clamps and are at least 10ft long. They are rated in gauges. The lower the gauge, the better. 4 - 6 gauge wires will work fine for most cars and SUVs. Anything higher may melt.


Tow rope
Car breakdowns, especially along highways, can be particularly embarrassing. A tow rope is a good piece of emergency equipment for situations such as this. The vehicle can be safely towed to a repair shop nearby.



Mobile phone holder
Almost everyone uses a GPS (google maps) in navigation. A proper mobile phone holder will hold the device in the driver's line of sight while not obstructing his view of the road ahead.
It is important to get a sturdy device to withstand the vibrations shock.





Fire extinguisher
This increases the chances of putting out fires; big or small if they arise in a car to limit the damage caused. It is important to invest in a good fire extinguisher. Please keep it in an area easily accessible at all times.


 Caution triangle
This is important to warn motorists to warn other drivers of a breakdown or crash ahead, therefore preventing further accidents.
