Maintaining your car is a very important step every
car owner must follow to increase the life of their car. It is important to
always follow your maintenance schedule and fix faults as soon as they arise.
This ensures the proper working condition and reduces long term costs.
Preventive maintenance is the best way to reduce maintenance
costs and ensure optimal performance of your vehicle over its lifespan. Do not ignore preventive maintenance as it may advise on oil change intervals, tyre
pressure, etc.
The best reference is your car manual. In Nigeria, where a vast majority of the cars on the road are used aka. "tokunbo", they may have been taken out of the cars before export. However,
most of these manuals are available online.
Should faults arise, you may browse
through forums to find solutions for several other cars that have had these
faults in time past. I have done this severally to great results.
On this blog, we’ll be covering
basic maintenance checks for your vehicles and the best way to adapt them to our
local environment.
